New Client ToD 5.621 Released

Time of Defiance 5.621.0 is now available for all players from our downloads section.

IMPORTANT: Existing players should uninstall their current version of Time of Defiance (from control panel, add/remove programs) before installing this new version. See 'Nice Announcement' forum for full details.

Some of the enhancements in this build include:

New interface colour scheme
New animated island anti-gravity units and large islands can have multiple units.
Right click intercept enhancements
Double left click selects all units of same type
Right click on islands in radar intercept
Navigation mini-map enhancements including middle mouse button zoom and right click drag Mini-map.
New purchase buttons in Eighth House
Bug fixes

There is a new test client available v5_621_0 (Release Candidate 1) which includes a whole new colour scheme for the user interface, along with enhancements, tweaks, and bug fixes to the game.

New Client ToD 5.541 Released

Time of Defiance 5.541.0 is now available from our downloads section or from the auto-update server.

This version includes an increase to the number of units you can multiple select and general performance increases. Plus many more small enhancements and fixes.

Time of Defiance 5.453.0: Now available

Time of Defiance 5.453.0 is now available through auto-update and from the downloads page. This is a minor maintenance release that adds a few cool new features and addresses some minor issues relating to the new camera tracking code. So, what's new?

Camera mode menu! All units that can be tracked now have this camera menu off their camera button. Click on it to see the various options. Of course, F5-F9 still work to select these modes.
Roof-cam no longer occasionally "falls" off from its desired orientation and has had some minor tweaks to make it a smoother experience.

New marker images Three new marker images have been added in this release to help you personalise your markers. Hope you like 'em!

As well as the camera mode menu and new marker images, several other tweaks have been made:

IIBM missiles and Cog Pioneers now have smoke trails behind them
Gate codes and gate-to-gate lists now have the new-style close button on their pop-up windows
New root menu buttons for Upgrade and Banking controls to separate them from other options

As usual, there are a host of other minor tweaks and twiddles. Enjoy the release: as always, there's a lot more to come :-)
